Bob's Story So Far

Bob says farewell to his alien crew aboard their vessel. His memory is wiped and he is deposited at Mungeranie Hotel with only the clothes on his back and a mysterious debit card. The barman greets him as if he stayed the night. A young couple in an overloaded Hiace are arguing about whether they saw aliens.

Bob joins Jess and Kyle in their overloaded Hiace heading to Adelaide. On the road Jess becomes convinced Bob knows something about the alien lights they saw. They stop at Marree for fuel.

Bob, Jess and Kyle explore Marree and meet Frank, a local elder who has seen strange lights over the Marree Man geoglyph for generations. Bob feels an unsettling connection to the place he can't explain.

Frank, an Aboriginal elder in Marree, reveals he's been waiting for Bob to return and claims Bob has been to the area before, though Bob has no memory of it. Frank hints at a connection between Bob, the Marree Man geoglyph, mysterious lights that predate the artwork, and "sky people" (aliens), while offering to take everyone to see the geoglyph in his cruiser. Jess presses Frank for answers about Bob's missing memories and the aliens, while Bob feels mysteriously drawn to the ancient site.

Frank drives Bob, Jess, and Kyle to the Marree Man geoglyph (a 4.5-kilometer-long Aboriginal figure carved into the ground north of Marree). Frank reveals that Bob worked with "sky people" (aliens) for three years in an underground facility beneath the geoglyph, and that Bob's memories were deliberately "cleaned up" with what sounds like the nuroliser memory wipe. Bob and his group (Jess, Kyle, and Frank the Aboriginal elder) descended into ancient tunnels beneath the Marree Man geoglyph, where Frank revealed Bob had spent three years there before his memory wipe.
