Bob in Australia is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the series:
- TikTok comments: TikTok videos are uploaded manually. Votes are counted manually from public comments. No TikTok user data is stored.
- Facebook comments: Facebook Reels are uploaded automatically via the Facebook Graph API. Public comments are read every 5 minutes for vote tallying. No Facebook user data is stored beyond the comment text used for vote counting.
- Website analytics: Standard web server logs including IP addresses and page visits. These are not shared with third parties.
2. What We Don't Collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses or personal information from viewers
- We do not use cookies for tracking
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers
- We do not store TikTok user profile information
3. TikTok
TikTok blocks API access for automated posting and comment reading on personal creator accounts. As a result, TikTok episodes are uploaded manually and TikTok votes are counted manually. Voting and participation on TikTok is not guaranteed — Bob suggests voting on YouTube instead where voting is fully automated.
TikTok's own Privacy Policy governs your use of TikTok.
4. Facebook
Bob in Australia uses the Facebook Graph API to automatically upload Reels to the Bob in Australia Facebook Page and read public comments for vote tallying. Facebook user data is not stored. Facebook's own Privacy Policy governs your use of Facebook.
5. Data Retention
Vote tallies are retained only for the duration of each episode voting period and then deleted. No individual comment data is retained after vote counting is complete.
